Description

It is the intent of the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Patuxent River, MD to award a sole source purchase order, using simplified acquisition procedures (SAP), with Boeing-SVS Incorporated at 4411 The 25 Way NE, Suite 350, Albuquerque, NM 87109. The current requirement is to provide an engineering evaluation/assessment as to the effectiveness of a passive sensor for optical detection in a Terrain Awareness Warning System (TAWS) environment. An engineering report is to be delivered by 31 Aug 2001. The Government intends to negotiate this SAP action under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. Boeing-SVS is the designer and manufacturer of the passive optical detection system being studied. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, all interested parties may provide a capability statement. The Government intends to process this procurement on a sole source basis with Boeing-SVS Incorporated. Numbered Note 26 applies.
