Description

(i) This is a modification to a synopsis that was posted in the CBDNet on May 10, 2001. (ii) This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. (iii) The solicitation number is R6-14-01-26 and is a request for quotation (RFQ) in accordance with FAR 13.5 Test Program for Certain Commercial Items and FAR 12.603(c)(2)(ii). (iv) The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-25. (v) This acquisition is set-aside for small business concerns and the associated NAICS code is 453930 and small business size standard is $9.5 million. (vi) A Firm-fixed price contract will be issued as a result of this CBD announcement. There is 1 (one) contract line item (CLIN). The building offered must meet the UNIFORMED BUILDING CODE STANDARDS. Manufacture and install 1 (one) 8 bedroom modular bunkhouse at the Frazier Compound on the Umatilla National Forest in southeast Umatilla County, in northeast Oregon. Available for request is a floor plan and a list of minimum required specification and the configuration must be similar. Offeror shall submit literature showing the proposed floor plan and other details indicating the structure meets or exceeds the design criteria. Within 10 days of receipt of contract award, supply concrete foundation construction drawings for the structure. The Forest Service will contract for construction of the foundation with an estimated completion date of August 18, 2001. At which time the successful offeror will have until September 15, 2001 to complete the installation of the building including connection of the water and wastewater utilities. (vii) The contractor agrees to comply will all provisions and clauses incorporated in this acquisition. Paragraph (a) is completed as follows: the factors to be used in the evaluation of offers are 1. Past Performance 2. Price 3. Structures ability to meet the Government's needs 4. Delivery Time. (C) FAR 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items applies (no addenda). (D) Also applicable to this acquisition are the following: FAR 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders-Commercial Items with the following applicable clauses in paragraph (addenda). (viii) PARTIES INTERESTED IN RESPONDING TO THIS RFQ may submit their quote in accordance with standard commercial practice (i.e. quote form, letterhead, etc) and MUST INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION: Solicitation Number (R6-14-01-26), offeror's complete mailing and remittance addresses, discount terms, unit price per CLIN, terms of any express warranty, DUNS number, and COMPLETED FAR 52.212-3 (no addenda). (viiii) To be determined acceptable the offer shall furnish literature that demonstrates the product offered meets all the requirements stated in the specifications, is the best value to the Government and meets the delivery time requirements.
