Description
Proposals are requested to develop training and educational materials on the subject of Workplace Violence. Issues to be addressed include employee-on-employee violence, customer-on-employee violence and outsider-on-employee violence. NTI will require proposers to have experience with the subject matter as well as experience in developing and delivering training programs and educational materials. The training requested includes a short (one (1) hour or less) computer-based introductory training application, up to a twelve-(12) hour instructor-led course for supervisors and up to an eight-(8) hour instructor-led course for the general workforce. The instructor-led courses are intended to be based on two- (2) to four- (4) hour modules that will be customized to meet the needs of specific transit job classifications. In addition to developing the training, the contractor will be required to conduct up to twelve (12) train-the-trainer sessions for each course over the life of the subcontract. The educational materials required include a resource guidebook on starting a workplace violence prevention program and two (2) campaign-kits for the workforce. The guidebook should include model policies and best practices. It is targeted to transit management and union officials. One campaign-kit is intended to focus on workplace violence in general. The other will focus specifically on customer-on-employee situations and will be targeted to supervisors, labor representatives and employees in operations and other customer contact areas of an agency. Both of these kits should include posters, short videos, laminated pocket cards, pins, paycheck stuffers, camera-ready artwork, newsletter articles and other job aids and marketing materials to promote topic awareness within an agency. The subcontract is three (3) years with a two- (2) year option to be exercised solely at the discretion of Rutgers University. To obtain a copy of the complete RFP, send a written request on organization letterhead to the University Procurement and Contracting address above. Fax or e-mail requests will be accepted and telephone requests are unacceptable. RFPs will not be faxed. Requests will be honored if received by Monday June 11, 2001. RFPs will be mailed shortly thereafter. Rutgers University is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to provide opportunities to small businesses, minority-owned businesses and/or female-owned businesses. These businesses are encouraged to submit proposals.
