Description

Proposals are requested to deliver workplace health and safety training to transit organizations nationwide. NTI will develop the curriculum and instructional materials and train proposers to deliver the training. Trainers for a wide array of health and safety topics will be needed including but not limited to accident prevention, bloodborne pathogens, ergonomics, chemical hazards, workplace violence, safety awareness, sexual harassment, and stress. NTI will require proposers to have some background in health and safety issues in the transit environment and/or experience in facilitating training programs. Proposers are intended to serve as NTI "adjunct faculty" to deliver the health and safety training developed by NTI for transit organizations. Assignments will be based on background knowledge on the topic requested as well as geographic considerations. Individual training assignments will range from one (1) to five (5) days. The number of assignments per year will vary based on industry training demand. Proposers must be willing to commit to delivering a minimum of five (5) days of training (excluding travel) per year over the life of the subcontract. The subcontract is three (3) years with a two- (2) year option to be exercised solely at the discretion of Rutgers University.
