Description

DESC: National Imagery and Mapping Agency (NIMA) Project STL 01-0271, Repair Area for Consolidated Help Desk in Building 36, Section 1E, at the facility located at 3200 South Second Street, St. Louis, MO. Work consists of all labor, materials, equipment and performing all work in strict accordance with those specifications, schedules and drawings forming parts thereof, for the repair of the area for the Consolidated Help Desk. Architectural work includes removal of drywall partitions and metal doors, modification to raised flooring and lay-in ceiling systems, and installation of drywall partitions and metal doors. Additionally, walls and doors will be painted, and carpet squares will be installed. Electrical work includes the removal and installation of receptacles below raised flooring and within walls, and the removal and rewiring of light fixtures. Mechanical work includes the removal of ductwork. The work shall be performed by a general contractor who has several years experience in general office renovation. All work is to be accomplished in strict accordance with applicable NIMA, EPA, NFPA, and OSHA requirements. The performance period for this project is 60 calendar days. Liquidated damages will apply to this project. The approximate cost range of this project is between $25,000 and $100,000. This is a 100% set-aside for small business. The NAIC code for this project is 233320, $27.5 million. All contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) to be eligible for an award. The solicitation document will be available from NIMA at no charge. All interested parties must submit a written request to NIMA, PCS, MS L-13, Attention: P. Zavadil, 3200 South Second Street, St. Louis, MO 63118-3399, a facsimile request to 314.263.8024, or email requests to zavadilp@nima.mil. This solicitation will not be available through electronic data interchange. The solicitation will include all plans and specifications required for bidding. A site visit will be scheduled and the date/time will be included in the solicitation. It is anticipated that the solicitation will be issued on or about 29 May 2001 and will close on or about 20 June 2001. All responsible contractors with the required experience may submit a quote, which shall be considered by the Agency. All quotes must be submitted in writing. See Note 1.
