Description

Project involves ecosystem restoration at two sites, Von Steuben and Northside Prep Schools, along the Chicago River in Chicago, Illinois. Major activities include clearing and excavating, regrading, placing earthfill and topsoil, installing A-jacks streambank protection block; installing Keystone retaining walls, installing solar lighting, ornamental boulders, bike racks, trash receptacles, and benches, constructing access paths, two concrete decks and a concrete overlook and landscaping. Landscaping activities include, but are not limited to, furnishing and installing tree and plant material; providing oversight and furnishing and installing crop cover. Pre-bid site visit will be scheduled on or about June 6, 2001. This project is available on compact disk only. Project specification files are Portable Document Format (PDF) files and can be viewed, navigated or printed using Adobe Acrobat Reader. The drawing files are in CAL format and can be viewed, navigated or printed using Source View Reader. Both readers are contained in the solicitation package.
