Description

The INL Bureau is requesting offers for the purchase of a poppy seed cleaning machine. This procurement is a small business set aside. Vendors must contact the Contracting Officer, Ruth Porter, at fax number 202-776-8775, and request a copy of the specifications for the equipment, and required Vendor performance. This machine will be used to clean, disinfect and package poppy seeds. This notice is written for the purpose of clarification of Notice #50K8M6, dated 5/2/01. The sentence in the previous notice which reads "The Vendors will be responsible only for sending the equipment by ground freight to the government's domestic despatch agency, who will handle the shipment onward to Turkey", refers to the method of shipment only. Please note that Vendors will be requested to provide an operational testing period of one day for the plant facility, training for User personnel in Turkey, along with support services, and to provide a 10 year guarantee for same. With regard to the technical factors to be addressed by the Users in the evaluation of proposals, the ability of the vendor to provide the necessary in-country support services will also be taken into consideration.
