Description

The Bureau of the Census in Jeffersonville, Indiana is considering buying an undetermined quantity of strapping machines. The machines should be similar to the Stra Pack RQ-8 and provide the following features: (1) Semi-Automatic operation with hand and foot activation, (2) Arch size of approximately 33 inches wide and 24 inches high, (3) Maximum package size to be used with the strapper is 32 inches wide by 23 inches high, (4) Roller top assembly, (5) Cycle rate of 40 straps per minute, (5) Adjustable height of 28-38 inches, (6) Strap size is 1/4 -- 1/2 inches, (6) Attachable to common conveyor systems, (7) Lockable casters, (8) Utilizes power supply of 110-120 volts, single phase. Contractor should be prepared to provide on-site operator training, maintenance training, parts, service and operators manuals, and a spare parts list of those parts likely to need replacing during one year of operation. It is anticipated that a quantity of 24 rolls of strapping per strapping machine could be purchased.
