Description

The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center Norfolk, Washington Detachment, intends to enter into a sole-source purchase order with Lifecodes Corporation, 550 West Avenue Stamford, CT 06902 for acquisition of DNA Molecular Regents by the Naval Medical Research Center (NMRC) for HLA typing of bone marrow transplant samples from volunteer donors for the Department of Defense Marrow Donor Program. These kits would consist of synthetic oligonucleotide primers with alkaline phosphatase label probes of pre-established sequences specified by the National Marrow Donor Program (NMDP). Kit contents are as follows: Item 0001 -- 164052, HLA A Probe Set, Item 0002 -- 165098, HLA B Probe Set, Item 0003 -- 162010, HLA DRB Kit, Item 0004 -- 957166, TMAC, Item 0005 -- 957054, Pre-Cut Nylon Membranes 100/PKG, Item 0006 -- 130001, BAMP1 HLA B1 Primer, Item 0007 -- 130002, BAMP2 HLA B2 Primer, Item 0008 -- 164013, HLA A1 Primer, Item 0009 -- 164014, HLA A2 Primer, Item 0010 -- 160031, HLA DRB A Primer, Item 0011 -- 160032, HLA DRB B Primer, Item 0012 -- 163317, HLA DRB HR52. All supplies are to be delivered to the Naval Medical Research Institute, 5516 Nicholson Lane, Kensington, Maryland. A Sole-Source justification and approval has been reviewed and approved by the contracting officer. This will be a fixed price contract for a base year and one option year. Lifecodes Corporation is the only known source possessing the unique supplies, knowledge, experience, and expertise, which can fulfill this requirement. This is not a request for competitive proposals; however, interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement or submit proposals.
