Description

The objective of the proposed project is to resurvey approximately 4,729 acres to determine the locations of all gopher tortoise burrows on selected priority soils on the DeSoto National Forest. These sites were surveyed for gopher tortoise burrows in 1995 and the resurvey will consist of priority soil areas that contained at least 3 active gopher tortoise burrows and also had a desity of at least 1 burrow per 10 acres. The project is located in Wayne, Green, Forrest, Perry, Stone, Jackson and Harrison Counties, MS. Contract time will be seven (7) months from effective date of notice to proceed. This is a firm contract time due to the timeframe for the Forest needing the information. The project is set aside for small business concerns. Interested quoters will be required to submit a resume describing experience and qualifications necessary to perform this type of work. Experience and price will be award factors.
