- Description
- Defense Supply Service Washington on behalf of the Office of the Deputy Under Secretary of the Army (Operations Research) is seeking contractor assistance providing analytic support to the Army Study Program. The support will encompass a wide spectrum of issues and problems, ranging from management decisions to strategic policy. Army strategic principles, policies and procedures are continuously and regularly assessed and analyzed to remain responsive to the US national interests and strategy, and to respond to the ever-changing nature of the world's political, military, economic, social, and environmental characteristics. The Army has a continuing need for analytic support from the private sector, academic institutions, and federally funded research and development centers to provide analysis of systems under consideration for development or acquisition, alternative force designs, manning, mobilization , and other topic related to the effectiveness of the force. The objective of this contract is to provide quick turn around analytic support services to carry out operations research and strategic policy analyses for the Army. Services are currently being provided under contract numbers DASW01-98-D-0058 with TRW, DASW01-98-D-0059 with Coleman Research, DASW01-98-D-0060 with SAIC, and DASW01-98-D-0072 with Logicon. The period of performance shall be for a base year and two option years. RFP DASW01-R-0006 shall be available on or about 11 June 2001. All requests for a copy of the RFP must be in writing. Telephonic requests will not be honored.
