Description

Sources Sought -- Air Force Mission Support System (AFMSS) Repair and Hardware Maintenance. This is a Sources Sought Announcement only; there is no solicitation available at this time. The Odgen ALC Space and C3I Directorate, Mission Planning System Support Facility (MPSSF), Hill AFB, UT is seeking sources capable of providing repair services on the Air Force Mission Support System(AFMSS) equipment. The equipment repair and maintenance will be accomplished in accordance with an Appendix A, Work Specification and Appendix C. The government is seeking sources that can provide repair and maintenance for this AFMSS equipment. The government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this notification or otherwise pay for any information or inquiry. This synopsis is for planning purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation for bids/proposals. Firms submitting responses should indicate whether they are large, small, small disadvantaged, 8(a), women-owned, Hub-zone, or HBCU/MI. If a sufficient number of small businesses, women-owned, Hub-zoned, HBCU/MI or 8(a) certified businesses respond to this announcement the acquisition might be 100% set-aside. Firms should indicate what Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) code the firm utilizes for this type of requirement. Offerors capable of providing all of the described services are invited to submit a Statement of Capabilities by 2:00 p.m. Mountain Daylight Time by 5 June 2001 to the following address, OO-ALC/LHKC, Attn: Stephen Harris, 6039 Wardleigh Road, Bldg 1206, Hill AFB UT 84056-5838. Submissions should be limited to 10 pages and should be pertinent and specific in the technical and management areas under consideration on each of the following qualifications: (1) Experience: An outline of previous projects, specific work previously performed or being performed; (2) Personnel: Name, professional qualifications and specific experience of technical personnel who may be assigned as a principal technician, manager and/or project officer; (3) Facilities: Availability and description of special facilities required to perform in the technical areas under consideration. A statement regarding industrial security clearance is required. Any other specific and pertinent information as pertains to this particular area of procurement that would enhance our consideration and evaluation of the information submitted. Respondents deemed fully qualified will be considered in any resulting solicitation for the requirement. An Ombudsman has been appointed to address concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The Ombudsman does not diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but communicates contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate Government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman shall maintain strict confidentiality as to the source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or the source selection process.
