Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation R1-04-01-35 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The solicitation and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-25. The clauses and provisions referenced in this solicitation can be found in full text form at http://www.arnet.gov/far. This is a total small business set-aside and the small business size standard is 500 employees. The North American Industry Classification Code is 532111. A quotation is requested for monthly pricing on the following three items. ITEM ONE (1) 6 Passenger Crew-Cab Pickup, 6 to 8 ft. bed, 4X4, 9,200 lb. GVWR or better (3/4 to 1 ton rated payload). ITEM TWO (2) 3 to 5 Passenger, Regular or Extended Cab Pickup, short or long bed, 4X2 (4X4 acceptable), 5,000 lb. GVWR or better (1/2 ton rated payload). ITEM THREE (3) 3 Passenger, Regular Cab Pickup, short or long bed, 4X2 (4X4 acceptable) 5,000 lb. GVWR or better (1/2 ton rated payload), equipped with a tow hitch and standard trailer plug. It is the Government's intent as a minimum to rent 5 vehicles (2 each item 01 and 3 each of item 02) for a period of 3 month's up to a maximum of 20 vehicles, depending upon the availability of funding. Vendors must have the capability to pick up and deliver vehicles to Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. Required delivery of vehicles no later than May 29, 2001 to: Idaho Panhandle National Forests, ATTN: John Crews, 3815 Schreiber Way, Coeur d'Alene, ID 83815. The provision at 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors Commercial, applies to this acquisition. The contract award will be offered to the best value offer made to the Government, considering price, past performance, and technical capability. Offerors will include with their offer a completed copy of the provision 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications Commercial Items. The clauses 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions Commercial Items, and 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required To Implement Statutes or Executive Orders Commercial Items, apply to this acquisition.
