- Description
- The project is located at Grissom Air Reserve Base, Indiana and consists of the design and construction of a new Marine Corps Reserve Center, a Vehicle Maintenance Shop, site development, roads, parking lots, curbs and gutters and associated utilities. The Reserve Center is a 2004.3 sq. meter area consisting of administrative offices, classrooms, drill hall, unit storage, arms vault, weapons trainer room and communications workroom and storage. Support spaces include mechanical, communications and electrical rooms, corridors, separate men and women toilet and locker rooms. The Reserve Center is to be designed and constructed for 25 full-time staff personnel and 150 weekend drilling reservists. The Maintenance Shop is a 183 sq. meter area consisting of two work bays, a shop office and a parts and tool storage room. The price proposal will consist of the base bid, as outlined above, and 5 bid options, which are: 1) Site Lighting, 2) all brick exterior, 3)aluminum window and glazing, 4) Furniture(installation only)and 5)Landscaping. Proposals will be evaluated in accordance with the following criteria, listed in descending order of importance: 1) Past Experience, 2) Past Performance, 3) Administrative/Management, 4) Technical Approach, 5) Safety Program and 6) Price, with price being apporximately equal to all other factors combined. The estimated cost range is $1,000,000 to $5,000,000. The estimated issue date is 07 June 2001. A preproposal conference will be held on June 25, 2001 at Grissom AFB.
