Description

The Food and Drug Administration is seeking responsible sources = from HUBZone small business concerns to provide a secure facility in = order to maintain and operate up to 20 upright ultra-low temperature = Government furnished freezers. The freezers will be used to store = biological materials. The facility must be within a 25-mile radius of = Rockville, Maryland. The facility shall have a remote and central alarm = security system that is operational and monitored 24 hours a day year = round. The facility must be completely air-conditioned, and for safety = measure, must provide an emergency electrical generator system. The = source must perform routine maintenance services and repairs when = necessary. In addition, the source must provide a storage space to = store bulk biological material with a capacity of at least 100 square = feet and maintain a temperature of -20oC (degrees centigrade). The = source must equip the freezer storage facility with a remote and = central alarm security system. The source must safely transport all = storage government freezers and their contents (biological materials) = from a facility in Gaithersburg, Maryland to awardee location. The = period of performance is contemplated as a base year and 4 option = years. All responsible HUBZone sources may submit their capabilities = which demonstrate their ability to perform the work stated herein to be = considered by the agency not later than 15 calendar days from the = publication date of this synopsis. No sources from other than HUBZone = small business concerns will be considered.
