Description

This work consists of Rental Equipment with Operators, Tennessee-Tombigbee Waterway, Alabama and Mississippi. The work to be performed under this contract is at various locations on Gainesville, Aliceville, Columbus, Aberdeen Lakes, Pools A, B, C, D, E, Bay Springs Lake, and The Divide Section, Tenn-Tom Waterway in Greene, Sumter Pickens Counties in Alabama, Lowndes Noxubee, Monroe, Tishomingo, Lee, Prentiss, and Itawamba Counties in Mississippi. Work items that will be accomplished utilizing this contract consist of waterfowl impoundment construction, road construction and maintenance, clearing forest openings for wildlife, clearing of fire lanes for control burning, reforestation, agricultural plantings (food plots), various forestry activities, disposal area maintenance, levee construction and maintenance, federally maintained and flood control projects, and other work as directed. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this project is CODE. Bid documents are available on or about 1 June 2001. Estimated cost of work is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. Unrestricted. All responsible sources may submit a bid, which shall be considered. Bidders, subcontractors and Dodge Plan Rooms are required to self-register their firm or office on the Internet. Registration instructions are available on the Internet at http://www.sam.usace.army.mil then click on contract bids. Neither telephonic, mailed, nor fax requests will be accepted. Actual solicitation amendments will be issued through the Internet only. The plans and specifications will be issued on the Internet only and will be provided free of charge. Plans and specifications will not be provided in a printed paper format; however, the Government reserves the right to revert to paper medium when it is determined to be in the Government's best interest. All bid forms, bid bonds, and other normal documents required for the bid submittal, including amendments to the bid submittal, shall be in paper medium.
