Description

The PN Region, Bureau of Reclamation, has a requirement for wetland development near Sherwood, Oregon. This requirement is offered under the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. The Request for Quotes (RFQ) will be issued approximately June 11, 2001. The estimated price range is less than $100,000. The NAICS Code is 234910, the size standard is $27.5 million. The Morand Property wetland development includes the following physical features to be constructed as part of the project: An embankment will be constructed to plug the existing ditch that currently drains the area. An outlet works will be constructed to allow draining of the wetland basin when the river is down and also to allow the river to back up through the outlet works to fill the pond. An overshot weir gate, and a canal gate will be used to control the elevation of the water surface. There will be an outlet pipe through the embankment. Additional gravel surfacing will be added to the existing access road to make it passable during all weather conditions. The road will also be graded and shaped prior to adding the gravel surfacing. There is one existing corrugated metal pipe culvert that will be removed and disposed of as part of the process. It is possible that clay tile drains might be installed under the proposed wetland basin. If so, they will be cut and plugged.
