Description

This is a synopsis for solicitation F39601-01-R-0079 The resulting contract from this solicitation will be a single award = firm fixed-price contract for the replacement of 20 furnaces in six = aircraft hangers. There are two types of furnaces: 2.5M BTU and 1.8M = BTU. The work will be performed in a hazardous noise and restricted = area on Ellsworth AFB, S.D. The work will consist of removing and = replacing government furnished equipment valued at approximately = $305,000.00. A single award will be made on a past performance, where = past performance is considered more important than cost. This action = is open to both large and small business. This is an internet only = solicitation. Documents will not be available via other means. The = North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 23511. The = size standard is $11,500,000.00. The magnitude for this project is = between $250,000 and $500,000. An offer guarantee is required in the = amount of 20% of offer or $100,000 whichever is less. A pre-proposal = conference and site visit is tentatively scheduled for 19 June 01 at = 10:00 A.M. local time. Location for the pre-proposal conference is the = 28th Contracting Squadron at 1000 Ellsworth Street, Ellsworth AFB, and = S.D. This project is presently unfunded and will only be awarded if = funds do become available.=20
