- Description
- The U.S. Department of Commerce/NOAA intends to negotiate on a non-competitive basis to amend remaining option years of NOAA Contract 50-DDNE-9-90004, with the University of Wisconsin, Space Science and Engineering Center (SSEC), to add site licenses, software updates and enhancements for the Satellite Data Ingestor (SDI) software for GVAR, GMS and METEOSAT data under the current Man Computer Interactive Display and Analysis System (McIDAS) Users Group (MUG) contract. The hardware for these SDI platforms was purchased from SSEC under a separate contract and the support is part of the MUG fee. Section B of the contract will be revised to include line items for the three satellite data ingestors (GVAR, GMS and METEOSAT). Participation with the MUG allows the Government to obtain ongoing research results, new software and techniques developed by SSEC and others; receive maintenance and updates to McIDAS-X, XCD and SDI software and documentation; and receive assistance with site-specific McIDAS problems. All other terms and conditions of the contract remain unchanged. All responsible sources may submit a written narrative statement of capability, including detailed technical information and other technical literature demonstrating the ability to meet the above requirement, within 30 days of this notice, to the above address. To be considered an affirmative response, offerors must provide sufficient information to permit agency analysis to establish a bona fide capability to meet the requirements. It is required that pricing data be submitted as part of an affirmative response. Responses without documentation will be considered non-responsive. Telephonic responses shall not be accepted. Please reference the contract number stated above in your response. See Note 22.
