Description

The Fleet & Industrial Supply Center Norfolk Detachment Philadelphia on behalf of the Naval Supply Systems Command intends to procure services to support Phase III of its ongoing SMART ERP project on a best value full and open competitive basis. The announcement posted in CBDNet on May 3, 2001 referenced a pre-solicitation conference to be held in the early June timeframe. The details of this conference have been set and are as follows: the conference will be held on Thursday, June 7, 2001 in Building 14 of the NAVICP-Mechanicsburg Compound. The conference will begin promptly at 9:00 AM. Industry is invited to attend to provide comment on the Navy's objectives, desired outcomes and functionality associated with Phase III of SMART. An objective of the conference is for industry to comment on the sufficiency of available information and/or to make recommendations as to additional considerations needed to promote a fully competitive environment. Industry is invited to examine the "Phase III Presolicitation Document" at http://www.norfolk.fisc.navy.mil.
