Description

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has a = requirement to evaluate the effectiveness of the combination of the = guidelines from the California Occupational Safety and Health = Administration on the prevention of violence in health care settings = and the state-wide regulation requiring a security and safety = assessment by licensed hospitals. This requirement will assess what = specific activities have been undertaken by health care facilities in = California as a result of these regulations. In addition, a comparison = will be made of the number and severity of incidents of assaults in = hospitals before and after implementation of various prevention = strategies. The period of performance for this effort is one year. = Solicitation 2001-N-08009 will be available on or about June 20, 2001 = and proposals are due July 20, 2001.
