Description

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) intends to negotiate a sole source contract modification with Flight Safety International, 1951 Airport Road P.O. Box 12304, Wichita, KS 67277 to modify contract #J-FBI-99-047. This contract awarded as a commercial item for flight simulator training for single engine high wing aircraft (i.e. Cessna 182, 205, 207 and 210). This modification will be for the remaining two months of option year one and the three remaining option years. The Aviation Special Operations Unit (ASOU) of the FBI, has the additional requirement for aircraft specific initial and recurring flight simulator training and corresponding classroom instruction for licensed pilots in turbine powered aircraft of the following types: DeHavilland Dash 8, Turbo Commander 980 and 1000, Cessna Citation V/V Ultra/Encore, King Air E90 and F90, Mitsubishi MU2B-60, Gulfstream G-V, Cessna Grand Caravan, and Bell 412. This training will be to maintain skills and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) currency of FBI pilots on an annual basis. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Information received in response to this notice will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. An award will be made on or about 6/11/01.
