Description

This requirement is for a quantity of 27 Fire Support Variant (FSV) Mission Equipment Packages for the Brigade Combat Team, P/N 12978960. These MEPs are the same as the current MEPs used with the STRIKER vehicle systems. The STRIKER is a continuation of the Bradley Fire Integration Support Team (BFIST) vehicle program designed specifically for the Army's Combat Observation Lasing Team in the heavy and light divisions. The STRIKER integrates the BFIST Mission Equipment package in the HMMWV Chassis supporting heavy and light force fire support operation. TACOM intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Systems & Electronics Inc. of St. Louis, Missouri pursuant to FAR 6.302. See number Notes 22 and 26.
