Description

Work includes maintenance dredging approximately 474,000 cubic yards of shoal material from Upper Terminal Channel, Jacksonville Harbor, Florida to a required depth 0f 34 feet plus 2 feet allowable overdepth with disposal in West Bartram Island upland disposal area located approximately 7.7 miles downriver. Work also includes maintenance dredging of approximately 3,800 cubic yards of shoal material from Jacksonville District Boat Slip Basin (vicinity of Upper Terminal Channel) to a required depth of 10 feet plus 2 feet allowable overdepth with disposal in West Bartram Island upland disposal area located approximately 7.7 miles downriver. Work also includes endangered species and turbidity monitoring. Magnitude of construction is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. Invitation For Bid will be issued on or about 19 June 2001 and open on or about 2 August 2001. Solicitation will be issued in electronic format only. Bidders will be provided a CD-ROM at no cost.
