Description

FISC Norfolk Detachment Philadelphia intends to acquire, on a sole source basis, on the behalf of the Space and Naval Warfare Systems (SPAWAR) Center San Diego, Philadelphia Detachment, spare parts to existing Government-owned/Ciprico, Inc.-produced ruggedized RAIDs (Redundant Array of Independent Discs) from Ciprico, Inc. of Plymouth, MN. The spares shall consist of 17 line items of various quantities. Items include cables, fans, power supplies, hard drives, controller boards, filters, ruggedized covers, panels, etc. The spares will be delivered to SPAWAR San Diego, Philadelphia Detachment. Delivery will be required within 30 days after date of contract. The RAIDs are used to support Tomahawk systems. The Government intends to negotiate this requirement with Ciprico as they are the Original Equipment Manufacturer and as Ciprico is the only known manufacturer of the ruggedized RAID spares that are compatible with Navy shipboard environments and the existing hardware and software configurations. Interested parties who contend that they are technically qualified must submit, within 15 days from publication of this announcement, specific factual data including pertinent technical information to be evaluated to determine competence to successfully perform the requirement. All technical proposals received within this timeframe will be considered by the Government. The Government reserves the right not to open this requirement to competition based upon technical notices received in response to this announcement. Technical responses received as a result of this announcement will normally be considered solely for the purpose of whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The Government will not pay for any information received. The applicable SIC code is 3577. Numbered Note 22 applies.
