Description

Q -- The Aberdeen Area Indian Health Service (IHS) is soliciting offers from interested parties to provide area-wide reference laboratory and pathology services for various service units in the Aberdeen Area. Interested laboratories shall be Clinical Laboratory Improvement Act (CLIA of 1988) certified to provide a full range of clinical, microbiology, and anatomic pathology testing services for 15 IHS hospitals and health centers in North and South Dakota. Interested laboratories must provide a telecommunications service to interface with eight hospitals and seven health centers for the electronic communication of reportable information from the reference lab to the laboratory software application in the IHS Resource and Patient Management System (RPMS) used by all 15 IHS laboratories. The IHS anticipates the award of a fixed price "Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity" type contract. The period of performance will be for one (1) base year and four (4) option years. Contract performance will start October 1, 2001. The Government will reserve the right to exercise the option years. RFP 01-10 will be released on June 20, 2001, and the deadline for submission of offers is tentatively scheduled for July 20, 2001.
