Description
The Environmental Protection Agency has a requirement for landscaping services at four separate EPA facilities at Research Triangle Park, NC. The requirement includes labor, materials, equipment, personnel, supplies and otherwise do all things necessary to maintain the grounds at the following four facilities: )1 Environmental Research Center, 86 T.W. Alexander Drive, RTP, NC; 2) Human Studies Facility, 104 Mason Farm Road, Chapel Hill, NC; 3) New EPA Facility, 109 T.W. Alexander Drive, RTP, NC; and 4) EPA's Trailer Site, Jenkins Road, RTP, NC. Work under this contract shall include, but is not necessarily limited to, mowing, trimming, edging, fertilizing, liming, seeding, aerating, recycling yard waste, mulching, pest control, watering, tree and shrub pruning and trimming, weeding and planting of new plants. The contractor shall maintain a wet detention pond; bio-retention areas; storm drainage systems; wetland pond flower beds; wild flower areas; and policing the grounds. The contractor shall be a registered landscape contractor and shall have been in the landscape business a minimum of five years. This requirement will include a twelve-month base period, and in addition, will allow for four twelve-month option periods. North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) No. 561730 applies with a size standard of 5 Million. It is estimated that this solicitation will be issued on or around July 10, 2001, as a 100% for exclusive competitive participation by small business concerns and HUBZone small business concerns. The proposals will be due approximately thirty (30) days after the RFP issuance date. The solicitation and amendments will be available via the Internet World Wide Web at http://www.epa.gov/oam/rtp_cmd. Firms are encouraged to access the solicitation and amendments via Internet. If you will be obtaining a copy of the solicitation via Internet, it will be your responsibility to frequently check the same site where the solicitation is posted for any amendments. However, only those firms who do NOT have the capability to obtain the solicitation from Internet, may submit a written request for a diskette. Diskettes will not be sent to those firms who have Internet access. If you request a diskette of the solicitation, you will receive amendments by mail, unless you notify us otherwise. Telephone and fax requests will not be honored. Only one copy shall be sent to a corporate entity, regardless of the number of requests from one or more different geographic locations. A copy of the preliminary source list will be posted along with the solicitation. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the Agency. See Numbered Note(s) 27.*****
