Description

This solicitation which appeared in the CBDNet on 31 May 2001 has been revised as follows: Design and Construct Forward Operating Base, Phase II, at the Peru Air Force Base, Puerto Maldonado, Peru. Scope includes operations/administration facility, general storage facility, technician's barracks, emergency power, water system storage, rigid vehicle parking apron, and associated site work. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this project is 23332. Bid documents are available on or about 21 June 2001. Estimated cost of work is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. All responsible sources may submit an offer, which shall be considered. Bidders, subcontractors and Dodge Plan Rooms are required to self-register their firm or office on the Internet to receive one free paper copy. Registration instructions are available on the Internet at http://www.sam.usace.army.mil then click on contract bids. Neither telephonic, mailed, nor fax requests will be accepted. Those registering are responsible for the accuracy of the information on the mailing list. Registration must include the firms physical address, telephone, a valid fax number and a point of contact. Registration should be completed one week prior to the issue date. All notifications of changes to this solicitation shall be made through the Internet only. It is therefore the contractors responsibility to check the Internet address listed above daily, for any posted changes to this solicitation. Actual solicitation amendments will be issued either by fax or paper or posting for download to the aforementioned web page. "In Country Contractors may obtain plans and specification at the Peru Project Office." "Prime Contractors proposing under this solicitation must be U.S. Firms, Peruvian Firms, or Joint Ventures between U.S. Firms and Peruvian Firms." A limited number of plans and specifications will be printed and will be available on a first come-first serve basis, until supplies are exhausted. Reprints will not be made. Specifications and drawings will not be available after the bid opening date. All bid forms, bid bonds, and other normal documents required for the bid submittal, including amendments to the bid submittal, shall be in paper medium. Electronic medium for the bid submittal documents will not be allowed. Critical Path Method (Network Analysis System) is not required. For this job, a small business is defined as having average annual receipts of less than $27,500,000 for the past three years. This solicitation includes bid options, which may not be awarded.
