Description
The U. S. Department of Commerce intends to solicit and award a purchase order for system add ons to an existing Arnold Geisler systems furniture on a sole source basis to Office Pavillion utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures (the total award will be less than $45,000). The add ons are for the following components: 27 new backs for existing bookcases, two finished corners, one double cornices, nine bookcases with finished outside backs and one help desk 36"x30"x36"x30" deep with laminated top. Further, the government will purchase additional items that are on Office Pavillion=s GSA Schedule for this requirement. This sole source award will be made to ensure that all items are compatible/interchangeable with the items already purchased and must fit within the confines of the custom furnishings. This is a sole source procurement under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. This notice of intent is not a request for quotations (RFQ) for competitive quotes. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
