Description

The Bureau of Land Management Alaska State Office, Anchorage, Alaska has a requirement for a Computer programmer to assist in the design, development, implementation and documentation of the Spatial Data Management System. The contractor shall be prepared to work as part of a team that includes a project manager, programmers, GIS specialists and users. The system is being developed on the IBM RISC 600 Unix Workstation utilizing Informix Relational Database Management System(RDBMS), Jam4GL software and Arc/Info software. The contractor's primary responsibility shall be in the relational database/JAM component and management of Public Land Survey System (PLSS records). The automation of the PLSS records into an electronic data base system is needed for both management of the data and to provide access to the Public and Federal users.
