58 -- NAVAL SPACE SURVEILLANCE SYSTEM (NSSS) SERVICE LIFE EXTENSION PROGRAM (SLEP)

Description: This pre-solicitation notice is a follow-on notice to Submission No. 50M8D7 posted in CBDNet on May 22, 2001. Potential offerors interested in Phase III of the Service Life Extension Program (SLEP) for the Naval Space Surveillance System (NSSS) are invited to submit the following information to be evaluated for the multi-step advisory process in accordance with FAR 15.202: 1. System concept or subset of a concept in sufficient detail to allow an independent Government assessment to include site geometries, radar paramenters assumed and models used. 2. Top level performance information: coverage, detection, accuracies, and single pass orbit determination. The above information is required to be submitted by July 11, 2001 to Space and Naval Warfare Systems COmmand, 4301 Pacific Highway, San Diego, CA 92110-3127 Attn: Kristine Boyles 02-22J in order to be evaluated. All responses received will be evaluated as to the viability of the overall concept with respect to the specification requirements. Offerors will be informed of the viability of their concept based on the information provided. Notwithstanding the evaluation information provided by the Government in response to information received, all offerors may submit a proposal in response to the formal Request for Proposal (RFP). Failure to submit the above information for the multi-step process does not make an offeror ineligible for award of the contract resulting from the formal RFP.
