Description

The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division, intends to negotiate on a sole source basis an indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity (ID/IQ) contract with firm fixed pricing provisions with X-Com, Inc., 8807 Sudley Road, Manassas, VA 20110. This requirement is for various switching components for the lowest replaceable units which support existing switching hardware including various parallel and serial switches, parallel and serial fiber optic interface extenders and provides the sites ability to extend the distances of NTDS electrical interfaces. These items will support existing switching hardware for the Naval Tactical Data Systems electrical interfaces used in support of the AEGIS combat system at specified land based test sites and must be procured from X-Com in order to be compatible with the pre-existing tactical circuitry and to support interchangeability with the existing in-line hardware components at the various sites. Interested parties other than X-COM must be able to demonstrate, in writing, their capability to provide the necessary items. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division, Dahlgren Laboratory Procurement Division has implemented Electronic Commerce (EC) in the acquisition area, therefore synopsis and resulting solicitation with any applicable amendments are available on the World Wide Web at http://nswc.navy.mil/supply. Solicitation and amendments are only available at the above Web sites. Hard copies WILL NOT be provided. In order to be eligible for award, the firm must, on an annual basis, confirm their reservation in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database by calling 1-888-227-2423 or via the internet at http://www.ccr2000.com. Vendors should regularly access the NSWCDD Web Site to ensure obtain the solicitation and any amendments as they are issued. Numbered Note 22 applies.
