Description

Contractor services to develop, validate and improve the Discriminant Analysis System (DAS) used by the IRS to score corporate and partnership tax returns. This includes reviewing current methodology and data for developing DAS formulas; assisting IRS personnel in validating/invalidating the effectiveness of DAS in predicting tax change; recommending specific changes to improve the predictive capabilities of DAS; and recommending different approaches, processes, analytical or statistical techniques, software or data which IRS could use to improve DAS, and which could be applied in the development of scoring models for other types of returns (e.g. partnership returns).
