Description

Notice of intent to negotiate a sole source contract with the University of Washington (UW) for the National Marine Fisheries Service/Alaska Fisheries Science Center (AFSC). Purpose of proposed contract is to curate adult and early life fish specimens. Contractor will transfer all available fish eggs and larvae collected by AFSC during 1993-1996 and 1000 lots of adult fishes collected during 1995-2001. Contractor will incorporate collection data associated with eggs, larvae, and adult collections into its database and disseminate to the public through the Internet. Contractor will inveotyr and maintain all lots of fish eggs, larvae, and adults housed at its site. UW proposed source since it's within five miles of AFSC facility and it has capability of storing early life history specimens and adult specimens. This is a simplified acquisition with an estimated value of less than $100,000.
