Description

Q7530-01-0004, Replace Damaged Sidewalks, Chalmette National Battlefield, Chalmette, Louisiana. The contractor shall provide all plant, labor, tools, materials, equipment, transportation and supervision required to demolish asphalt and concrete sidewalks, curbs and gutters, removal of asphalt access ramps and construction of APPROXIMATELY 525 linear feet of new concrete sidewalks, install 6 new handicap access ramps, sealing concrete joints and partitions and related miscellaneous site work as required. All work pertaining to Accessible Improvements shall comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) of 1990 as amended. The period of performance for any resulting contract is Ninety (90) calendar days to include material approval, acquisition, transportation and installation. The contract will be firm fixed price. Estimated magnitude of this project is between $0 and $25,000. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this project is 235410, Masonry and Stone Contractors. Solicitation Q7530-01-0004 will be issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ) using Simplified Acquisition Procedures. This solicitation will be issued as unrestricted, full and open competition, in accordance with the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. The RFQ will be structured as a "Base Quote", for the main effort of the project, with several "Quote Additives." The government reserves the right to award all or part of the solicitation. Should any contract result for the solicitation, there will be only one award to one contractor. The solicitation will be issued on are about July 9, 2001. A site visit will be held on are about July 24, 2001 with quotes being due on are about August 7, 2001. All dates are tentative at this point and are subject to change.
