Description

NASA/KSC plans to issue a IFB/ Request for Offers for: Base Bid: Rehabilitate Air Pressurization Systems at both Pads A&B. Replace drains in Air Pressurization Systems at both Pads A&B. Additive Alternate 1: Repair 30-inch diameter round concrete pipe air duct in Air Pressurization System, Pad A. Additive Alternate 2: Repair 30-inch diameter round concrete pipe air duct in Air Pressurization System, Pad B. Additive Alternate 3: Repair 75-inch x 48-inch elliptical pipe air duct in Air Pressurization System, Pad A. Additive Alternate 4: Repair 75-inch x 48-inch elliptical pipe air duct in Air Pressurization System, Pad B. The order of magnitude for the procurement is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000 and the effort shall be completed within 700 calendar days after notice to proceed. This procurement is part of the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. The NAICS Code and small business size standard for this procurement are 235110 and $11.5 million, respectively. The anticipated release date of the IFB/RFO is on or about June 18, 2001 with an anticipated offer closing date of on or about July 18, 2001. The firm date for receipt of bids or offers will be stated in the IFB/RFO. Drawings will be available from the Bid Distribution Office 321-867-2851. All QUALIFIED responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by the agency. [OMBUDSMAN STATEMENT IS REQUIRED] An ombudsman has been appointed -- See NASA Specific Note "B". The solicitation and any documents related to this procurement [with the exception of the specifications and drawings] will be available over the Internet. These documents will be in Microsoft Office 97 format and will reside on a World-Wide Web (WWW) server, which may be accessed using a WWW browser application.
