Description

The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) requires fabrication of two large diameter chopper wheels with the following specifications: 24 inch diameter, gold plated, diamond turned chopper wheels; 1) 15 reflective and 15 open sectors (12 degrees each) and 2) 6 reflective sectors (12 degrees each) and 6 open sectors (48 degrees each). This proposed contract is 100% Small Business Set-aside with fabrication experience of similar products also being considered. Technical merit as well as price will be used to evaluate offers. As the technical merit becomes more equal, price becomes a greater factor. Procurements under Simplified Acquisition Procedures ($25,000-$100,000) are set-aside for small business unless small business cannot meet the need at a reasonable price.
