Description

TRAINING SHIP GOLDEN BEAR REPAIRS in Vallejo CA. Vessel is currently in operation; however will be returning to Vallejo, CA for the performance of ship repair, upgrade and maintenance for the annual hull, loadline, and machinery surveys, and USCG COI renewal. Work includes: (1) The removal of broken and damaged interior linolium decking and replacemnet of underlayment, tiles and baseboard material. (2) The repairs and restoration to exterior deck surfaces, vent goosenecks, and on-deck vent containment structures as well as a replacement of the deck coating system. (3) Preparation dn restoring of coating to ballast tanks. Solicitation is anticipated to be issued on July 30, 2001. Shipcheck date will be 23 Aug 01 in Vallejo, CA. Closing date is anticipated to be 29 Aug 01. Award and advanced engineering and planning is anticipated to start 25 Sep 01. Anticipated start date of the work on board is 22 Oct 01.
