New London Submarine 10/16/01 New London Submarine Base will be hosting its annual Fall Technology Expo on Tuesday, October 16, 2001. This event is promoted to 10,000 active duty and civilian personnel, Navy Submarine School, Naval Submarine Support Facility, and Submarine Force Tactical Development Group, as well as all major tenant commands, including Submarine Squadron Support Unit, Naval Submarine Medical Research Laboratory, and METOC. Over 250 attendees came to our last event here in October 2000! The Navy's first Submarine Base, New London supports 21 attack submarines and houses the nuclear research deep submersible NR-1. Their mission is to support fleet readiness by providing quality service and facilities to our Submarine community and their families. Requested technologies for this event include, but are not limited to: Imagery, Technical Training, Wireless products, Notebooks, LANs, Modems, Token Ring, Client/Server Connections, Color & Laser printers, Storage devices, SAN, Scanners, Internet access, Database Management, Project Management, CAD/CAE/CAM, Network Security, and Video Teleconferencing.
