Description

The Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP), Federal Correctional Institution in Danbury, Connecticut, has a requirement for a complete Sprinkler System installation per the corresponding specifications. The Government intends to make a single award fo this project. The Contractor shall provide all labor, tools, equipment, appliances, materials, and perform all work necessary to install a wet pipe sprinkler sysytem at the Federal Prison Camp location, at FCI Danbury, CT. The work includes, but is not limited to, the following: 1) Creating a new underground fire water supply to the building from the main supply; 2) Installing, testing, and commissioning a new, wet pipe fire sprinkler system; 3) Utilizing the service of existing vendor who is responsible for maintenance of the existing Fire Alarm Panel, for programming and tesing of the newly installed fire alarm switches; 4) Conforming of all work to specifications, and construction drawings, and all relevant Federal, Local, and State codes; 5) Referencing drawing F-sheet 1 through 11, and the technical specifications. The performance period of this project will be approximaely 180 days. The project is unrestricted and open to all business types and sizes eligible to receive award. The esimated magnitude of this project is between $250,000 and $500,000. A security investigation/clearance is required. All responsible sources are encouraged to submit an offer that will be considered for award. The anticipated solicitation issuance date is approximately 07/06/01.
