Description
Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division (NAVAIRWARCENWPNDIV), China Lake, CA intends to negotiate on an other-than-competitive basis with SEI, Asheville, NC a Fixed Price order under BOA Number N68936-00-G-0001 for Thin-Pack Parachute (TPP) systems, components, related assemblies, engineering/logistical support and other services. Order 0009 is for harness retrofits to TPP A/P22P-21 P-3 Crew Back Pack Assemblies manufactured by SEI and stored at the contractor's facility for delivery to Government-directed sites and agencies. Estimated maximum quantity: 4,000. SEI is the only source producing Thin-Pack Parachute Systems using the Thin-Pack/Lightweight Environmentally Sealed Parachute Assembly (LESPA) technology and is the only source to retrofit these TPP systems without violating existing warranties. Thin-Pack Parachute drawing packages and associated packing, sealing, and closing processes has proprietary markings, making required design and maintenance information not releasable. Deliveries to start six weeks after issuance of award. Anticipate completion by March 2002. Place of performance: contractor's facility Asheville, NC. FOB Origin. Solicitation will be issued on or about 16 days after synopsis (July 3, 2001) and is available through the China Lake 2.0 Contracts Competency home page at http://www.nawcwpns.navy.mil/~contract/homepubl.htm. Anticipate award 31 days from date of synopsis under terms and conditions of the BOA. All responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal or quotation, which will be considered by the Agency.
