Description
The U.S. Army Robert Morris Acquisition Center/Natick has a requirement for a Personnel Parachute: NSN: 1670-00-598-0751, 1140 each. The government anticipates a firm-fixed price type Indefinite Quantity, Indefinite delivery contract. Minimum order level will be 114 each. The total estimated quantity is 1140 each. Best Value procedures will be utilized. Factors and criteria will be set forth in the solicitation. The general characteristics and item description are: The MC1-1B Troop Back Parachute Assembly provides the Naval Parachutist the capability to safely static-line exit from an aircraft with individual equipment and be delivered to the objective on the ground. The maximum canopy assembly suspended weight is 350 pounds. The MC1-1B Parachute assembly weight is 29 pounds. Canopy Assembly. The canopy assembly is parabolic in shape, has a diameter of 35 feet, and is 24.5 feet in diameter at the skirt. It has 30 gores, with 4 or 5 sections per gore. The gore material is 1.1 ounce Type I rip stop nylon parachute cloth. The canopy assembly has anti-inversion net that extends 18 inches below the canopy skirt. Suspension lines are constructed of Type II nylon cord, and are 25.5 feet from connector link to lower lateral band. The canopy has two vent line centering loops, an orifice cut out, and two control lines to give forward movement and directional control. All deliveries of the parachute will be F.O.B destination to, New Cumberland PA. Prices will be filled in on the Request for Proposal (RFP) DAAD15-01-R-0013. The North American Industry Classification System Code is 314999. The Offerors will provide a past performance information sheet listing references (preferably 3 in the past 2 years) for the same or similar item. The Past Performance sheet must contain a Point of Contact (POC) for each listing to include a current telephone or fax number, order/contract number. This solicitation with attachments will be posted on the center website:ww3.Natick.army.mil, on or about 20 June 2001. All responsible sources may submit a quote, which will be considered by this agency. Quotes may be submitted via Fax (508) 233-5286 or sent by overnight or regular mail to Stephen S.
