Description

This is a presolicitation notice for the construction of a C-17 Aircraft Corrosion Control/Maintenance Hangar with a Full Paint Facility. This facility will be constructed at the 172nd Airlift Wing, Thompson Field, Jackson, Mississippi. The project consists of construction of a 57,600 square foot Aircraft Maintenance Hangar with Aircraft Maintenance Shops, Offices and Mechanical Rooms. Construction will consist of concrete slab with grade beams and concrete cast-in-place spread footings, structural steel framing system, metal siding and insulated translucent panels and an insulated metal roof. CMU interior and exterior non-loadbearing walls with a brick veneer, insulated windows, and EPDM roofing system on metal decking. Utilities and support facilities include AFFF Fire Suppression System, plumbing, gas-fired heating system, ventilation system, air conditioning, water, electric power, sanitary and storm drainage systems, asphalt paving, concrete curb-and-gutter, an irrigation system and landscaping are also included. This is an unrestricted procurement. Do not respond to this notice. A solicitation notice will be issued at a later date with more details. Estimated construction range is between $10,000,000 and $25,000,000. The Synopsis will be posted to the Commerce Business Daily on or around 17 July 2001.
