Description

The work shall consist of furnishing all plant, labor, equipment, materials, and supervision to complete construction work under Project No. PQWY 02-1005-1 entitled Multi Cube Storage Facility Phase I at McChord AFB, Washington. Work includes l) Provide new lighting system for Buildings 352 and 355, 2) Provide new architectural work for Buildings 352 and 355 to include replace overhead doors, doorframes, headers and necessary hardware, repaint interior and exterior facilities, repair roof replacing all existing gutters, downspouts and mounting hardware, repair interior floor for cracks or holes, clean and seal entire floor. The magnitude of construction is between $100,000 and $500,000. The applicable SIC Code is 1541/NAICS 23331. The Small Business Size Standard is $27.5 Million. In conformance with FAR 19.1300 this acquisition is being considered for Hubzone set-aside. If your firm is Hubzone certified and intends to propose on this acquisition, please provide the following information to the Contracting Officer not later than ten (10) days after the publication of this notice: 1) SBA certification of Hubzone eligibility, 2) Capability statement of your firm, and 3) a positive statement that your firm intends to propose on this acquisition. Based on response the Contracting Officer will make a determination; if there is not a reasonable expectation of adequate competition, the acquisition will be conducted under full and open competition procedures. The period of performance is 150 calendar days with on site performance limited to 90 consecutive calendar days. While funds are not currently available within the Air Mobility Command to fund this project, we anticipate funds will become available by 16 Nov 01. If current fiscal year (FY 01) funds become available, contract award will be made no later than 30 Sep 01. If FY 01 funds are not available, this project will be funded with FY 02 funds. We expect to have FY 02 funding by 16 Nov 01. The solicitation will be = available for download from the Internet by accessing the = government-wide electronic Posting System website at http://www.eps.gov. Issuance of the solicitation will be on or about 05 Jul 01 with the closing date for receipt of proposals on or about 06 Aug 01.
