Description

Description of the work: Diamond Creek Drop Structures No 4 and No 5 were constructed as earthen embankment structures with riprap armoring to create wetland features. During a significant runoff event, the structures failed as the creek cut through the right sides of the embankments and into the right abutments. At each location, approcimately 2/3 of the original structure remains. The work to be performed includes diversion and care of the stream during construction; removing, stockpiling, and replacing existing riprap to facilitate installation of the sheet piling cutoff walls; furnishing and installing steel sheet piling cutoff walls; furnishing and installing steel channel for sheet piling cap; loading, hauling, and placing Government-furnished gravel backfill; and loading, hauling, and placing Government-furnished riprap. Principal components of the work are: a- Diversion and care of stream during construction b- Furnishing and installing steel sheet piling c- Furnishing and installing steel sheet piling cap d- Hauling and placing Government furnished gravel backfill e- Hauling and placing Government furnished riprap The work is located in Park County, approximately 7 miles southwest of Cody WY. Quotations should be received on or before 8-7-01, at the office of the Bureau of Reclamation, WY Area Office, 205 Chamberlain Road, Mills WY. You may fax a request for a RFQ package at 307-261-5691. This acquisition is not set-aside for small business. The estimated price range for this job is $25,001 to $100,000. This work must be completed by 9-25-01. For this acquisition the small business size standard is 17.0 million and the standard industrial classification code (SIC) is 1629.
