Description

The Defense Distribution Center New Cumberland, PA intends to negotiate a contract for Survivair Self Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) Equipment in accordance with FAR 6.302-1 -- Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. The equipment is for the Defense Distribution Center San Joaquin (Tracy), CA (DDJC). Survivair is the only known manufacturer that is compatible with the surrounding community agencies that DDJC interacts with due to the DDJC commitment to the Community Mutual Aid Agreement. In this agreement DDJC share and provide equipment and personnel for the sole purpose of saving lives and property, may they be that of DLA or of the surrounding community. The ability of DDJC's tools, equipment, apparatus and even the fire fighting personnel to interface and be compatible with one another is a requirement that all the participating agencies adhere to. The Survivair system is the product that the local community is using. The solicitation contains the following equipment: (1) 112 each Survivair 45 Minutes H.P. Carbon Cylinders. (2) 32 each Survivair 60 Minutes H.P. Carbon Cylinders. (3) 8 each Survivair "HIP-PAC" P/N 968475 with 10 Minute Escape. (4) 14 each Survivair 20/20 Mask with Headnet P/N 222026. (5) 24 each Survivair "Panther" SCBA with Mightylite Packpack P/N 964075, with Warbling Whistle and Adam Alarm P/N 45WWA, 20/20 plus Mask with Headnet P/N 222026, Buddy Breather/Compass/SAR Attachment P/N X962621, Schrader Plug P/N X930433 and Small Talk plus P/N X963070, less case. (6)12 each Survivair "Panther" SCBA with Mightylite Packpack P/N 964075, with Warbling Whistle and Adam Alarm P/N 45WWA, 20/20 plus Mask with Headnet P/N 222026, Buddy Breather/Compass/SAR Attachment P/N X962621, Schrader Plug P/N X930433 and Small Talk plus P/N X963070,with Case P/N 9833866.
