Description

The US Army Robert E. Morris Acquisition Center, Natick Contracting Division, has a requirement for a replacement D-Ring to be used on the harness for T-10 and MC1-1 personnel parachute systems. The two (2) D-rings on the harness are the main attachment points for the jumper's reserve parachute and accompanying equipment. The D-ring will be a forged, heat treated metal and consist of a frame and removable pin. A Technical Data Package will be available on the Natick webside on or about 30 June 2001. A 6000 lb. proof load is required on all units. An ultimate strength of 10,000 pounds is required. An indefinite quantity indefinite delivery contract is anticipated. The estimated minimum ordering quantity is 120,000 each. The delivery schedule will be based on a minimum monthly delivery order following contract award. This acquisition is set aside for small business. Best Value/source selection procedures will be followed in determining the successful offeror. Best Value Source Selection factors for evaluation will be provided in the solicitation. The Request for Quotation will be posted on the Natick Acquisition Web Site: http://www3.natick.army.mil on or about 30 June 2001.
