- DESCRIPTION Work consists of furnishing all parts, labor, materials, equipment, supplies, services, design, engineering, tools, and supervision necessary for replacing three (3) 165-ton chillers, Bldg 1899, Scott AFB, IL. The principal items of work shall include, but are not limited to, the following: The contractor shall disconnect, remove from the job site, and dispose of three existing chillers. The existing refrigerant charge shall be reclaimed and put in clean barrels for future government use. The contractor shall provide and install three (3) 165-ton chillers which shall be compatable with the existing system. The contractor shall provide unit hoisting and mobilization. The contractor shall enlarge or repair pad as required. The contractor shall provide manufacturer-recommended installation and start-up, including shut-down and tie-ins. The contractor shall furnish and install new condenser water and chilled water piping and piping insulation as required. The contractor shall provide controls to interface to existing pneumatic system. The contractor shall provide electrical services and system balancing. The contractor will provide all construction management and engineering services. The contractor will clean the job site and provide at least a one year parts, labor, and workmanship warranty. The contractor will provide as-built drawings and eight hours of operator training. This is a Request for Proposal (RFP), Price Performance Trade-Off (PPTO) solicitation. There will be no public bid opening. Award will be made based upon the ?Best Value? to the Government in accordance with FAR 15. The government reserves the right to award a contract to other than the low offeror. The magnitude of this project is between $250,000 and $500,000. The proposed contract herein is unrestricted. The closing date and time for submission of proposals will be contained in the solicitation package. The entire solicitation, including the specifications and drawings, will be made available only on the Electronic Posting System (EPS) website at http://www.eps.gov. The solicitation can be accessed by following the links on the EPS website to: USAF Offices, Air Mobility Command, 375th Contracting Squadron, Scott AFB IL. Potential offerors are responsible for monitoring this site for the release of the solicitation package and any other pertinent information and for downloading their own copy of the solicitation package. Potential offerors MUST register at www.eps.gov in order to receive notification and/or changes to the solicitation. This notice does not obligate the Government to award a contract nor does it obligate the Government to pay for any proposal preparation costs.
