Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items, prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. THIS IS A REQUEST FOR QUOTATION (RFQ) This acquisition is Set-Aside for small business concerns. Size standard is: 100, Standard Industrial Code is: 5065. SCOPE OF WORK: The TacLAN is a Tactical Local Area Network, for use in a tactical environment. It must withstand a wide range of environmental extremes such as temperature and moisture. It must be compact, mobile, easily assembled/dissassembled. Must be easily configurable and be able to withstand rough handling. The TacLAN must support 50 -- 200 computers with the ability to expand. It must also be able to connect to military as well as the private sector intranet and internet. The TacLAN will have three (3) servers that will be mounted in separated hard cases that can be lifted by two (2) soldiers. Sized will be determined based upon equipment. THIS WILL BE A FIRM-FIXED PRICE CONTRACT. Delivery must be quoted FOB -- Destination. Deliver to: 213th Area Support Group, 1501 Allen Street, Allentown, PA 18102. Delivery Date: 15 August 2001. Contractors interested in this solicitation shall notify the contracting office by FAX (717) 861-8604, ATTN: SSG Brenda L. Peck. Those contractors will be forwarded the bid schedule. Each contractor must be Central Contractor Registered (CCR'd), must include Federal Tax Identification Number, Corporate Status, DUNS number, CAGE Code and remit to address. Contractors whall include a completed copy of the provision at FAR 52.212-3 Offeror Representation and Certifications -- Commercial Item with its offer. The clause 52.212-4 Contract Terms and Conditions -- Commercial Items applies to this acquistion. The provisions at 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors -- Commercial Items applies to this acquistion. The provisions at 52.212-5 Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statues or Executive Orders -- Commercial Items are included and incorporated by reference: these clauses apply: 52.222-3 Convict Labor, 52.233-3 Protest After Award, 52.222-26 Equal Opportunity, 52.222-35 Affirmative Action for Special Disabled and Vietnam Era Veterans, 52.222-36 Affirmative Action for Handicapped Workers, 52.225-3 Buy American Act -- Supplies.
