Description

The proposed contract action is to furnish equipment labor and materials necessary to Provide chemical treatment for the energy plant: Systems and processes included: 3 cooling towers 3 boilers 1 chill water system 7 building loops #1,2,3,6,41,45,46. Water management for the NMVAHCS: all systems must be self-contained to permit the ultimate goal of complete product stewardship and safety. The systems must be maintained with control limits on the towers as product at +/-1 ppm of chemical residual automatically maintained by equipment that check product on line and in real time. Boilers must be maintained at present levels of control, with no scale. Local, state, and federal agencies to insure compliance with all programs must license all vendor personnel. Products utilized in the steam system must be food grade additive products that have no reportable spill quantities, and be FDA and USDA grade products. Product must not contain amines. The government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. It is believed that Nalco Chemical Company is the sole source having the ability to perform the maintenance and repair which will meet the needs of this medical center. It is our intent to negotiate a contract with Nalco Chemical if this is found to be true. Although no solicitation is available at this time, concerns responding to this notice may request a copy of the solicitation should one become available.
